Pricing and Models: Which Versys is for You?

Here's the breakdown of the 2025 Versys 1100 lineup and their respective prices (OTR, without insurance and road tax):

  • Versys 1100 Standard: RM65,100 (Metallic Graphene Steel/Metallic Diablo Black)
  • Versys 1100 S: RM76,600 (Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Diablo Black)
  • Versys 1100 SE: RM82,900 (Metallic Graphite Gray/Metallic Diablo Black)

All models come with a 2-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects from Modenas Kawasaki.

Power and Performance: Upgraded Engine for More Grunt

Underneath the fairings, all three Versys 1100 variants boast a liquid-cooled, 1,099 cc inline-four engine. Kawasaki has bumped up the displacement from the previous 1,043 cc, resulting in improved power delivery. This DOHC, 16-valve engine now produces 135 PS at 9,000 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm. Previously it was 120 hp and 102Nm.

A smooth-shifting six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter and assist & slipper clutch helps to manage all that power.

Key Differences: Standard, S, and SE – What Sets Them Apart?

The main differences between the models lie in their equipment levels. Here's a closer look:

Braking System: SE Gets Brembo

The Versys 1100 SE gets top-spec Brembo radial-mount monobloc four-piston calipers paired with dual 320 mm discs up front. The Standard and S models get Kawasaki-branded radial-mount monobloc four-piston calipers and 320 mm discs. All three share the same single-piston caliper and disc at the rear.

Suspension: Electronic Wizardry on the SE

The Versys 1100 SE features Showa's advanced Skyhook electronic suspension.

The SE stands out with its Showa 41 mm upside-down front forks featuring Showa Skyhook electronic suspension. This provides electronic adjustment for compression and rebound damping, along with manual preload adjustability. The rear is equipped with a fully-electronic BFRC monoshock with similar adjustability.

Electronics and Features: Cornering Lights for the SE

All three models come with a comprehensive electronic riding suite, including:

  • Four ride modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider
  • Three-level traction control
  • Three-level cornering traction control
  • Four power delivery modes
  • Two-channel ABS

However, cornering lights are exclusively available on the Versys 1100 SE.

Practicality and Convenience

All variants roll on 17-inch wheels with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres. You also get cruise control, a USB-C charging port, LED lighting, and Kawasaki's Clean-Mount Pannier System for optional luggage. Fuel capacity is a generous 21 litres, and the seat height sits at 840 mm across the range. A combination analogue/digital instrument panel provides all the essential riding information.
