CGC GRADUATES 20 YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS, LAUNCHES NEXT COHORT

Empowering the Next Gen of Malaysian Riders... and Entrepreneurs?

Okay, so maybe not *directly* about bikes, but hear us out! Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC) just celebrated the graduation of 20 young entrepreneurs from their CGC100 Fast Track program. What's that got to do with kapcai and superbikes, you ask? Everything! These are the future business minds who might just create the next viral motorcycle accessory, a revolutionary riding app, or even a better way to finance your dream machine.

CGC100 Fast Track Cohort Two graduates
Ready, set, go: Students of Cohort 2 celebrating their achievement. These guys are the real deal!

The CGC100 Youth Entrepreneurship Programme is all about giving aspiring young Malaysians, aged 18-23 (especially those from B40 and M40 backgrounds), the skills and mindset to kickstart and sustain their own businesses. Think of it as a boot camp for future *towkays*.

CGC Chairman, Datuk Mohammed Hussein, emphasized that these young entrepreneurs are shaping the future of Malaysian business. The program aims to foster a problem-solving attitude, turning challenges into opportunities to innovate and contribute to the entrepreneurial landscape.

"CGC100 is about igniting a mindset where problems are seen as opportunities to innovate, create and contribute to a resilient and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem." - Datuk Mohammed Hussein, CGC Chairman.

What Did They Learn?

The Fast Track Cohort Two, which ran from May to December 2024, equipped these 20 graduates with the knowledge to transition from side hustles to legit, revenue-generating businesses. We're talking everything from marketing and operations to finance and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.

Here's what some of the graduates had to say:

  • Villjohne Necent, creative arts entrepreneur (Melaka): "This journey gave me the confidence and structure I needed to turn my passion into something real."
  • Carmelina Taunek, hydroponic business owner (Sabah): "It’s changed how we run things, and it’s been a turning point for our family."
  • Ali Iskandar Padzil, food entrepreneur (Penang): "The exposure to new business perspectives and practical advice from mentors has been invaluable."
  • Muhammad Alif Haqiemi Jamil, motorcycle mechanic (Johor): "Through this program, I now have the knowledge to run my own motorcycle outlet!"

Notice anything? Our brother from Johor is ready to OPEN HIS OWN MOTORCYCLE OUTLET! Imagine the possibilities! Custom builds? Performance upgrades? Maybe even his own line of *sarung tangan*?

Looking Ahead

CGC isn't stopping there. They've already launched the Fast Track Cohort Three program, with 30 new participants ready to dive into the world of entrepreneurship. They're calling on other financial institutions and ecosystem partners to jump in and support the next generation.

Let's face it, whether you're passionate about bikes, business, or both, these are the kinds of initiatives that can help make the Malaysian motorcycle scene even more awesome. Keep an eye out – the next big thing in the riding world might just come from one of these graduates!
