Guthrie H'way lane closures at two different sections

Heads Up, Riders! Guthrie Corridor Expressway Lane Closures Affecting Two Sections

To all our fellow riders and regular users of the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), take note! Prolintas has announced upcoming lane closures, and there are two key sections affected along this vital highway connecting Shah Alam to Rawang. Pay extra attention, especially since one involves our dedicated motorcycle lane!

1. Northbound Right Lane Closure (Shah Alam to Rawang)

First up, if you're heading northbound, expect a right lane closure from KM18.65 to KM18.75. This is for the "mobilisation and arrangement of traffic control equipment".

  • Location: KM18.65 to KM18.75 (Northbound)
  • Type of Closure: Right lane
  • Time: Nightly, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning
  • Duration: Already started over the weekend and will run until March 8, 2026

2. Southbound Motorcycle & Emergency Lane Closure (Rawang to Shah Alam)

This is crucial for our two-wheeled community! The dedicated motorcycle lane and the emergency lane from KM19.3 to KM17.9 southbound will be fully closed. The reason is the same: for the mobilisation and arrangement of traffic control equipment.

  • Location: KM19.3 to KM17.9 (Southbound)
  • Type of Closure: Motorcycle lane and emergency lane
  • Time: Full time (24 hours)
  • Duration: Kicking off today (March 2, 2026) and continuing until March 14, 2026

Please make sure to follow all road signs and instructions from the crew in the work areas. Your safety and the safety of other road users should always be your top priority. Ride safe, everyone!

Plan your routes accordingly, especially if you rely on the GCE southbound motorcycle lane. Expect potential delays and allocate extra travel time. Stay alert, stay safe, and ride smart out there!
