Riders Nak Lagi Bantuan: Groceries & RON95, Please!
KUALA LUMPUR – Rising petrol prices and the cost of necessities are hitting everyone hard, especially our kapcai riders! With the government's Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) initiative and RON95 subsidy in the pipeline, here's what some Malaysian riders are hoping for.

Lebih SARA, Lagi Best!
Fatimah Zahrah, a single mother, welcomes the RM100 SARA aid but hopes for more flexibility. “RM100 is helpful, but the choices are limited. Can’t buy baju raya with it, lah!” she jokes. She also points out the quantity limits: “Big families like mine need more minyak masak!”
RON95: Harga Mampu Milik, Impian Rider!
Food delivery rider, S. Ragu, is excited about the targeted RON95 subsidy, bringing the price down to RM1.99/litre for Malaysians. “Fuel is my biggest expense! Even a small drop helps me save for my bike’s maintenance,” he says. He hopes the government can maintain the subsidy long-term.
“Essentials like rice, cooking oil, and dairy products have become noticeably more expensive these days,” says housewife Kalah Devi, highlighting the need for continued support.
Harapan Riders Malaysia:
- More flexible SARA aid: Expand eligible items and increase purchase quantities.
- Long-term RON95 subsidy: Maintain affordable fuel prices for riders.
- Direct assistance for B40 riders: Consider additional aid specifically for low-income riders.
With rising costs, every little bit helps our fellow riders. Hopefully, the government will consider these requests to ease the burden on Malaysian motorcyclists!
