Motor racing-Bearman handed 10-place grid drop for home race
Bearman's British GP Dreams Dented: Grid Penalty Strikes!
Adoi! Just before his first home race, young gun Oliver Bearman, the Haas rookie, kena a 10-place grid penalty for the British Grand Prix. Seems like our mat salleh forgot about those red flags during the final practice session on Saturday.

The Formula 1 stewards weren't playing around. Not complying with red flags is a big no-no, especially when safety is paramount. Bearman also racked up four penalty points, bringing his total to a worrying eight. Reach 12, and he'll have to sit out a race. Padan muka sikit?
Remember that Monaco incident? This is Bearman’s second 10-place drop this season. Aiyoyo, better buck up, young man!
What Happened Exactly?
The drama unfolded during Saturday's practice. Bearman's car decided to shed some of its bodywork, causing the first red flag. Then, things got worse. Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto crashed, bringing out the red flags again.
According to the stewards, after the second red flag, Bearman slowed down initially but then accelerated like he was going for a pit stop under race conditions – clocking 260kph! And then, kan dah kena, he lost control and smacked into the barriers.
"It is beyond doubt that the driver of Car 87 did not proceed slowly back to the pit lane when he accelerated to simulate entering into the pit entry road under race conditions," said the stewards.
Apparently, Bearman told the stewards he misjudged the cold brakes due to the slow lap. Alasan... but rules are rules, lah.
